Breaking news : Please if people are kind enough to leave donations at the sanctuary gates can you be sure you phone Lyz on 07549991920 and let her know and items are being left. Donated items have been removed by persons unknown from outside the sanctuary gates. Several hutches were donated today 14th May but were taken by someone who saw fit to help themselves to them.

Measures have been taken to identify who is removing these items

Based in Stratton Strawless, near Norwich, Hallswood is Norfolk's most diverse wildlife sanctuary. Hallswood are a not for profit organistaion and are there to help any animal in need, offering sanctuary, rescue service and when possible re-homing to domestic pets in special cases.

Hallswood covers a large area of woodland and grassland offering an ideal site to allow the animals to recuperate, and then, where ever possible released back into the wild. Other animals that are not able to be released or re-homed have life long care at Hallswood.

There are currently over 700 animals and birds at Hallswood, many have life threatening or long term injuries and illnesses receiving the very best care and medical attention they need. Hallswood is a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year sanctuary.

We have a no kill policy and will never turn away an injured or sick animal of any kind. Hallswood has a strong belief that ALL animals are sentient beings and deserve to live free from pain, hunger and neglect.

Hallswood is a not for profit charitable organisation that relies solely on the kindness of your donations and fundraising and does not receive any government funding. 

Hallswood Animal Sanctuary is not open to members of the public but welcomes visitors by appointment.
